My parents bought me a mp3 player for my birthday in 2006. My birthday is in April (I'm 16 now) and they bought me a Zen Thought W back then (I know you probably haven't heard of it). The Zen isn't being sold by Creative anymore and it is one of those devices that was made before internet, apps, and games existed on mp3 players. Anyway, my Zen worked fine for 5 years and it is irrevocably starting to break down. The cause isn't abuse and lack of proper maintenance. I just charged it too often and I didn't realize the conundrum in doing this until it was too late [the fact that it lasted this long i still incredible].
Now, I am interested in getting a new device but I haven't really articulated it to my parents. Now, I would buy it myself my parents prefer buying it for me. I am specifically interested in an Ipod Touch and I am interested in either a 3rd or 4th generation.
Now, a friend of mine at school wants to sell his 32 GB 3rd generation Ipod Touch for $ 150. He says that he's had it for 14 months and the reason he's selling is because he's getting a new 8GB Ipod Touch 4g for $ 230. I believe him and I don't reckon he would sell me a defunct Ipod. I have already used it and tested it out so I'm ok with it.
I prefer to get an Ipod Touch 4g but I need 32 GB because 8 GB is not enough for all the movies I have. On my Zen, I have used up 24 GB on just movies and 400 songs. I am well aware of the differences between 3g and 4g including the camera, retina show, and slightly better efficiency. I did some research and a used Ipod Touch 32 GB 3g would cost nearly $ 200. A new Ipod Touch 32 GB 3g would cost $ 275 on Amazon.com. A new Ipod Touch 32 GB 4g would cost $ 300. My friend's one year ancient Ipod Touch 32 GB 3g will cost $ 150 with cables and such.
I feel like I deserve an Ipod because I get fantastic grades and I go to THE top high school in my disorder. I always listen to my parents and I never question for any huge expenses and I question for pocket money for lunch on occasion (once every two weeks). I also behave well and I will make sure that whichever device I buy will last just as long as the Zen I have owned for 5 years.
Which device must I go for and how can I convince them? [I apologize for the length of this but I would greatly appreciate useful answers].
It takes a person like you for parents to get you nice things!
iPod Touch 4G is a touch you won't regret buying, listen to music, watching crisp clear movies and TV shows, details in pictures, highly updated gaming, memories in your pocket thanks to the camera. You won't go incorrect getting the newest iPod Touch. To make your iPod Touch last long ALWAYS buy a case for it, never leave it naked cause you drop it, its kaput. I recommend SkullCandy slider cases they are very well-built and durably and make your iPod shine with its color choices!
Anyways the jury is: iPod Touch 4G!
With your kind of performance, your parents won't have any doubt buying you such. Disparate others who always deal with "Gimme" kids.
Be nice. Do chores. That's a fantastic deal. I'd take it.
I'm a casual music listener who only has about 500-600 songs (about 3.5GB), and I listen to them while commuting. I just upgraded from a 4GB sony walkman to an 8GB ipod touch 4G. This is my first ipod ever. But I noticed that by paying $ 70 more, I could get 32GB. It's tempting, but I'm wondering if it will go to waste. Probability are I will not read any books on it, or transfer any movies to it since I carry my laptop everywhere. I will probably go on youtube, try out send by e-mail, etc. I might also get a couple of apps. I don;t ordinarily travel anywhere, so I probably won't use the HD video recording at all, unless I have to record a touch amusing/incredible/some concept the professor is explaining on the board. Even if, nearly everyone has told me to exchange it for a 32GB one. Did I get ripped off by purchasing the 8GB one? Must I exchange it and get the 32GB one? This 8GB one + the cover has cost me $ 255.98, the 32GB will cost me $ 318.89. Eek $ 320, I could just buy a netbook right.
depends on if you want apps. i have lots of apps and about 500 songs and its not enough room.
It ordinarily depends on how many songs, apps, vids, etc. you have. If you have 3.5 gbs of songs, I would most certainly get the 32 gb iPod because let's face it, 0.5 gbs isnt exactly a lot of space.
if u go on the inernet alot then the 32 gB would be best
You can get an iPod transfer tool, like imedia transfer, you can google it.
My birthday is coming up in about a week and a half, and I am positive I'm getting an Ipod Touch 3g with my birthday money, but I'm also aware that the 4g model must be coming out in the upcoming months. And I heard it'll have a camera..but I heard it won't be an incredible camera. My question is, must I wait to get the new version, or not? And prices do drop when new models are about to release, right? I'm starting to reckon only 260$ for a 32GB ipod touch 3g isn't a terrible deal at all, I'm not too interested in a camera anyway…lol.
I'd like to hear opinions.
Im very sorry. I bought an ipod touch 3g in DECEMBER 2009, and i thought i was late to the party. Sorry
