San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 05, 2012

This aint MunkyFuns first rodeo. MunkyFun, the diverse mobile developer of critically acclaimed and commercially successful games including My Horse, Archetype and Ivory Tiles, today announced the launch of its frantic multiplayer action game Bounty Bots, for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, featuring full resolution retina support for the new iPad. This free-to-play free-for-all puts a futuristic twist to old-time gun-slinging, with battling robotic desperados eager to earn cash in a Wild West that never was. Players will customize their bot, and chase down opponents brandishing cartoony cowpoke weapons, from the standard Six Shooter, to the needle-studded Cactapult and green gunk spewing Googun, to ambush other players in an effort to collect their bounties.

Gather round the campfire, son, and listen to the tale of an old west town called Deadbolt. Only instead of ranch hands, the place was full of hat wearin and weapon totin robot bounty hunters. And instead of tumbleweed rolling in the streets, there was gold, silver and gems just waiting to be found. And instead of panning for gold these robots were bounty hunters, chasing each other all through the streets, hoping to wrangle each others coins. Bounty Bots aint no one-on-one gentlemens duel its a rough and tumble rampage for up to eight players, fighting to grab each others loot and protect their own without losing all their loot and landing in jail.

Players are matched up based on their skills, with each online hootenanny match lasting three minutes. Entering a dusty pioneer town, complete with Spaghetti western style music that perfectly sets the stage, players can collect coins as they move through the town of Deadbolt – but the big money lies in collecting bounties by defeating other players in gun-blazing online combat. When hit, players drop their coins leaving their loot as fair game for any banditoid to rush up and collect. A player with gumption will drop their bounty at the bank for safekeeping, keeping their eyes peeled for lily-livered yellow-bellied bots that may be staking out the bank, waiting to ambush. If you lose all your coins youll be sent to jail to cool your heels until its time for you to be paroled, or if you cant wait to get your guns a-blazing again, you can use coins to post bail and get back in the action quicker than a lizard on a lava rock.

Banked coins can be spent on items available in the in-game store, including special upgrades and new weapons. From new western headwear and not to mention, heads to dozens of dastardly shooters and weapons players who are quick on the draw can nail opponents with their ElectroZapper or Fayzabeam, while corralling them with Stumbleweeds or Ice Beams, or another of the villainous secondary weapons. There are multiple paths to victory, so its not all about whos the fastest on the drawalthough having a quick draw certainly helps!

Bounty Bots is pure multiplayer fun, built with the solid tech and ear to community that are our hallmarks, said MunkyFun CEO and co-founder Nick Pavis. To use an old west term, players literally have a conniption battling it out, ambushing one another, and rushing into a shooting a frenzy in the easy to play, short match format of mobile gaming.
