No major new game announcements more sequels very few new game announcements for the systems that were launched few months away.
It will be hard for Nintendo 3DS and Sony Vita to take off with iPod touch giving them a stiff competition with both pricing and content.
If apple can push a bit harder now, they could own the portable gaming market with iPod touch. If they give it iPad battery life it can take over the portable gaming market.
iPod touch launched in September 5, 2007 and has sold 60 million so far. iPad is at 67 million when combined they put the total at 120 million that's more than all the consoles combined.
All the games that run on iPod touch run on iPad.

Even most consoles at best has about 5000 games even including their old catalog. With so many free and new type of games they could easily take over this market.

iPad – 67.1 million as of 31 March 2012
iPod Touch – 60 million March 2011

With iPad mini in the works and at cheaper price portable gaming guys also better start worrying…
