onOne Software, Inc has announced new lower prices for the DSLR Camera Remote v1.4.3.
From today, the DSLR Camera Remote Pro for the iPhone and iPod touch will be available from the iTunes App Store for £6.99 ($9.99) and the DSLR Camera Remote HD for iPad will be available for £17.49 ($24.99).
The DSLR Camera Remote allows photographers to preview their shot in their camera's live view, remotely trigger the shutter of their Canon or Nikon DSLR camera, adjust common camera controls-such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance-and review images, all with an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad via a Wi-Fi enabled computer. With video-enabled cameras, users can start, monitor, and stop video recording with their iOS device. These capabilities give photographers greater creative and functional freedom as they are able to move from behind the camera to interact with subjects, be a part of the image themselves, and compose and fire a shot even when seeing through the viewfinder is difficult.
"We continually strive to support photographers by offering tools and resources that save time and money and help make digital photography easier, faster and better," said Craig Keudell, president of onOne Software. "As more and more photographers-from professionals to advanced amateurs to hobbyist-use iOS devices, we want to extend this guiding principle to them by offering the DSLR Camera Remote at a lower price."
Many users have already discovered the flexibility of the DSLR Camera Remote and have been sharing their experiences with reviews on iTunes. "I recently photographed a bride where she was in a swimming pool and my camera was on a boom. The remote worked great," writes PhotoBracket. "My clients loved being able to review [their images] on one of my iPads and walk around set wirelessly and make comments as we moved elements around," shares Douglas Sonders. "[It's] Just great. I could even stand back with my clients and fire remotely so they could critique shot timing."
