Apple issued its invites yesterday for the upcoming iPhone 6S launch with the simple tagline: ‘Hey Siri, give us a hint.’ But when you ask Siri for such hints, it offers a range of playful – and sometimes teasing – responses
Depending on how you ask Siri for a hint, the answers vary.
The first response when MailOnline asked ‘Siri, give us a hint’ was: ‘Why don’t you check a rumours blog? That’s what I do.’
This suggests that the countless rumours about the iPhone 6S from the rose gold colour to the addition of Force Touch could contain an element of truth.
Asking a second time, using ‘Hey Siri give us a hint’, garnered the response: ‘You’ll have to wait until 9 September.
‘I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren’t you?’
While a third response was more cryptic: ‘I can neither confirm nor deny that I am not authorised either to confirm or deny I cannot disclose anything that you would then have to confirm.
‘In any case, I would deny it. Got it?’
Siri also teased the event by saying: ‘Well, I hear there’s something big happening on 9 September.’
Apple’s iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are expected to look identical to the current version but include radically overhauled internals and a new force sensitive screen, along with a new ‘rose gold’ colour option.
A new Apple TV set top box is also expected to be unveiled, which can run apps.
Siri also responded with: ‘I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren’t you?’ (left), and ‘I can neither confirm nor deny that I am not authorised either to confirm or deny I cannot disclose anything that you would then have to confirm. ‘In any case, I would deny it. Recent reports claimed the tech giant could be planning to release another handset just months later.
Apple suppliers are gearing up for the launch of a smaller 4-inch model dubbed iPhone 6C as soon as November, and according to 9to5Mac, it will not be revealed at the event.
‘Don’t expect a new 4-inch iPhone 6C to show up on stage,’ it said.
‘Sources say that while Apple has been working on a new 4-inch iPhone with the capabilities of last year’s iPhone 6, the device is not yet ready to ship.’

Apple typically launches its new handsets each year at an event in September and this year the firm is expected to release its iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. According to leaked images (pictured) and analyst reports, the handsets will look almost identical to the current versions
The fan site also claimed Apple has been prototyping an even smaller iPhone with a 3.5-inch display, the same size of the iPhone’s screen from the first model in 2007 to the iPhone 4S in 2011, but believes the product has been abandoned.

The next models will be more powerful versions of last year’s 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 and 6 Plus handsets.
The much anticipated new version of its $ 69 TV box is also expected to be unveiled in September running a version of Apple’s iOS. It will have a new, touchpad remote and boosted performance.
Apple’s Siri has a reputation for being a bit of a comedian, if you ask the right questions.
Earlier this year, its response to the simple maths question: ‘What is zero divided by zero?’ went viral.
The voice assistant begins by saying that the sum doesn’t make sense before using the Cookie Monster to help explain why.
When Siri is asked the maths sum (pictured), it says: ‘Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense.’
